In his welcome address, Vladimir Karasyev, Deputy Governor on Subsurface and Fuel and Energy sector issues, stressed the significance of holding this conference and hoped its results will be used during the production of rules and regulations both at the regional and federal levels.
The KhMAO authorities, representatives of oil and geological companies, leading researchers and experts from the nature management field, attended the conference.
The conference has 4 sections. The URIIT researchers made the following reports: “Formation model and criteria of oil accumulation search in the rocks of the pre-Jurassic bedding of the Western Siberia” (E.Glukhmanchuk, A.Vasilevsky), “Results of microseismic monitoring of hydrocarbon fields” (P.Bortnikov, S.Mainagashev, F.Shmakov, D.Simakov, A.Zhemchugov, N.Fursova), “Investigation of core sections by the scanning sonde microscopy method” (G.Erokhin, I.Volokhovich, V.Vyun, D.Grigoryev, S.Orlov, A.Trubachev).
