• The social services complex for the URIIT’s staff is formed. It comprises a canteen, a gym, a bus, a health-improving and recreation systems.
• 
  The Institute initiated signing of the association agreements in scientific and technical sphere between the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and the Siberian Branch of RAS, San Petersburg scientific center.
• 
  A digital exchange is placed in operation. Each staff member of the Institute gets a personal telephone.
• 
  A unique receiving complex for space monitoring PK-9 is installed 40 meters high on the roof.
• 
  A regional competition of Russian Foundation for Fundamental Research and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug “Ugra” is held.
• 
  The license for opening post-graduated studies center is received. The first post-graduated students are enrolled.
• 
  The Institute carries out 3 conferences (one of them international) and a section of the 2nd International Forum on Investments “Oil. Energy. Progress”.
• 
  An electronic library and a computer reading room are opened. The Institute’s staff members, students of the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics of USU, students of Ugra School for Physics and Mathematics are welcome to work there. The URIIT’s administration follows the principle of providing maximum free access to information resources.
• 
  The Institute establishes cooperation with 40 Russian partners (these are branches and centers of the Academy of Sciences, big companies and enterprises, universities) and 12 foreign companies and universities.
• 
  The infrastructure of innovation activity is built up in the strategic plan.
• 
  The Institute takes part in a federal exhibition devoted to the Russian Constitution Day. The Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug presents its stands at the exposition.
• 
  The Institute’s scientists have published 3 monographs, 45 articles and presented 39 papers at the conferences.
