• The license from Federal Security Service of Russian Federation (series B 306988, No.461 issued on June 15th, 2004) is obtained for carrying out works related to use of State secret data.  
   
• An agreement with Sweden Institute of Nature Protection Technologies is signed.
   
• A unique Earth Remore Sensing Centre is opened.
   
• The GIS-technology of on-line access to subject information (fires, floods, crop-yield prognosis etc.) via Internet is debugged.
   
• A training server is put into operation (in the framework of Distance Internet Education Project realization). The skill upgrading distance training programme "Cartographic and geoinformation support" is created, on the basis of Internet-technologies.
   
• Elaboration of information-analytical system "Single Databank of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Social Establishments Material and Technical Basis" is close to completion.
• First graduates of Ugra Boarding school for Physics and Mathematics - 44 pupils from various cities and settlements of Yugra.
