• The Institute obtained accreditation for rendering additional training services in training, upgrading and certification on the territory of KhMAO from the Institute of Professional Accountants of Russia.
  
• Director of URIIT, G. Erokhin, is awarded the medal "All-Russian Exhibition Centre Laureate". 
  
• URIIT is rewarded with a diploma of the 10th All-Russian exhibition-fair "Regions of Russia", for strengthening and integrating of cultural, business, humanitarian and research-technical inter-regional cooperation.  
  
• Opening of the first professional summer school "Young programmer of Yugra".
  
• The station for receiving and processing data from the European Space Agency radar remote sensing satellites was put into operation on the basis of URIIT.
  
• Ugra Centre of Technology Transfer was opened on the basis of URIIT.
  
• Innovation achievements of UCTT are rewarded with a golden medal at the Urals Venture Exhibition-Faiir "Innovation - 2005" (Ekaterinburg city).
  
• Ugra Centre of Nanotechnologies was opened on the basis of URIIT.
  
• In September 2005 Ugra Centre of Geospacial Data was created. 
  
• URIIT became a participant of the international Project "Man-Induced Environmental Risks: Monitring, Management and Remediation of Man-Made Changes in Siberia" in the framework of a special programme for research-technical development " Integration and Strengthening the European Research Area".
  
• URIIT won the "Rosnauka" tender for carrying out studies on the subject "Development of hydrocarbon search and exploration technology at complex, deep-seated fields". Amount of Federal financing is 787 million rubles. Excecution period - years 2005-2006.
  
• URIIT won the competition "Yugra Business Leader - 2005" in the nomination "Implementation and development of high technologies".
