The event is being held by joint work of the Department of education and science and the Institute of development of education under Ugra physical-mathematical lycee.

Olympiad gathered school students of 9-11 grades of the state, municipal and non-state educational institutions of the okrug, they all are the winners of the local stages of the contest.
The competition is based upon tasks of general educational programs,  performed in secondary and general-level education.

The participants were solemnly greeted by the lycee director Valery Tchuvakov and URIIT  deputy director on educational work Alexey Kamyshnikov. Young physics were shown around the institute. As a part of excursion they visited nano-technological center and the Earth remote sensing center.
Results of the academic competition will be summed up on January 15.
